I love this hard game. It brings back memories
What's really special is how the game does so much with limits. Most amateurs would go a little too crazy and do dumb design choices such as giving all the enemies a different color or try to make their character do everything. Not only does this slow them down, but they also don't work. You really nailed the fundamentals on this one, so take what you've learned from this and take it to the next level.

the gameplay reminds me of 'wild guns' for the super nintendo
Here's something from 'wild guns' you should take note on: when your character is about to enter a hazard or get shot, he shouts 'Look out!'. The reason why the developers implemented this mechanic is because some of the obstacles were too difficult to see.
You actually did execute that concept in some sections of the game such as the bus fight though, so I'll give you kudos for that! :)
theres also a yield sign that pops up before a car comes on screen :D
